Gaze up at the fully laden beamed ceilings steeped in history as you walk across the original slate flagstone floor. Feel the warmth of the flickering flames of the open fires as you go to the bar to order yourself a pint of Cornish ‘Real Ale’ with St Austell Brewery’s Tribute, Proper Job and Sharp’s of Rock Doom Bar with a choice of local guest ales or if you dare Cornish Rattler a cloudy cider made at Healey’s Cornish Cyder Farm.
In the two Bars hundreds of bottles, jugs and other items hang from the heavy original beams, pictures of bygone years cover the walls, old comfy settles are scattered around the bars then standing in the corner among the stoneware pitchers sits a chair carved out of a tree trunk and a very old carved oak high backed chair.
Then there is the extensive menu and specials board so choose a locally produced homemade meal then one of our homemade desserts or just sit and soak up the atmosphere. With family room and various outside seating and separate Restaurant, Live music every Saturday Night (see the Web Site) this character pub suits everyone.
